Simon Groß ist gestern Abend für "Fata Morgana" mit dem mit 30.000 Euro dotierten Förderpreis Deutscher Film Regie, den Bavaria Film, Bayerischer Rundfunk und HypoVereinsbank gestern auf dem Filmfest München vergeben haben, ausgezeichnet worden. "Der Regisseur Simon Groß beweist in seinem Kinodebüt 'Fata Morgana' den Mut, auf eine einfache und doch umso wirkungsvollere Geschichte zu setzen. Dabei vermag er durch die Genauigkeit seiner Inszenierung eine komplexe Welt weit über die gesprochenen Worte hinaus zu schaffen und zieht mit seinem Vermögen, in Kinobildern zu erzählen, den Zuschauer in seinen Bann. Die präzis erzählte Geschichte behält dabei ihr Geheimnis und wird so zum Kinoerlebnis", begründete die Jury, die in diesem Jahr aus Joachim Król, Sönke Wortmann und Produzentin Alexandra Kordes bestand, ihre Wahl.
